We read in Daniel that the ruler of the day, Nebuchadnezzar, had dreams that troubled him. Nebuchadnezzar was so troubled that he could not sleep so he summoned all kinds of magicians, astrologers and sorcerers to find out what his dreams represented. None of his magicians, astrologers or sorcerers could tell him the meaning. Nebuchadnezzar became so angry he purposed to destroy them. Long story short - Daniel interpreted the dream for Nebuchadnezzar. God revealed to Daniel that these dreams were predicting the various kingdoms that would take place. The dreams started with Nebuchadnezzar’s kingdom and the future kingdoms yet to occur. Then God explained that there was one kingdom that would rise up that would never be destroyed and that kingdom would endure forever. Now think about this. What kind of kingdom could it possibly be that would never be destroyed but would endure forever?
Let me inform you of the Good News that this ‘never be destroyed but endure forever kingdom’ spoken of by the prophet Daniel is the Kingdom of our Lord Jesus Christ and He reigns now in the midst of our day and has since He began revealing the glory of God.
If you are born again then you have been given an entrance to ‘the salvation and the power and the kingdom of our God and the authority of His Messiah’ thereby receiving His provision for your every need.
Now His kingdom is not a lawless kingdom. We must seek first the kingdom of God and the His righteousness (or His right way of doing things).
“33 But seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things will be provided for you.” Matthew 6:33
