It has been a while since I have posted on this blog. Vacations, grandchildren visits, moving from one town to another, being involved in this school year, etc., - just haven’t had much time to blog.
Be encouraged this morning and remember that the Lord has already paid the price for your victory in all things through the achievement made at the cross. His covenant with us who believe completely provides for us in this life as well as in eternity. When a storm comes in this life the believer has access to the throne of glory to receive miracle overcoming power to deal with it. How do we receive that power to overcome? We “Praise Him“. We ‘Thank Him” over and over again for every provision He has purchased with His blood. This confession is an action which acknowledges He is Lord and Shepherd over all things. Storms will come and go in this life so train yourself in His righteousness and practice praising and thanking Him prior to the storm so you can continue during a storm and it’s aftermath. Isn’t that what Psalms 23 is saying?
1 The LORD is my shepherd; I shall not want.
2 He maketh me to lie down in green pastures: he leadeth me beside the still waters.
3 He restoreth my soul: he leadeth me in the paths of righteousness for his name's sake.
4 Yea, though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil: for thou art with me; thy rod and thy staff they comfort me.
5 Thou preparest a table before me in the presence of mine enemies: thou anointest my head with oil; my cup runneth over.
6 Surely goodness and mercy shall follow me all the days of my life: and I will dwell in the house of the LORD for ever.
56 In God will I praise his word: in the LORD will I praise his word.” Psalm 56:10
While in Egypt the Hebrew children had to apply the blood of the Lamb on their doorposts or death of the firstborn would not have passed over them. In this age, we apply the blood of the Lamb on the doorposts of our mind by confessing His Word over our life for the slain Lamb of God is also the Word of God. Our confession of His Word makes known to the heavens and the earth that the Lord is our Shepherd over all things concerning us. Now being human and having a voice we are going to make confession known to the heavens and the earth and that is what we obtain, so what confession should it be? Our confession should be what God says (His Word) not what is being said by the rest of the world. This is the truth - the believers confessing what the Word of God says about them are those believers that will “overcome by the blood of the Lamb and the word of their testimony”.
